KDCS Committee meeting 21/02/2023

  MINUTES OF THE KDCS COMMITTEE MEETING HELD ON 21/02/23     Attendees Steve Warner, Anne Brookes, Brian Woodward, Dave Wills, Martin Slader. Apologies sent from Will Beck and Mike Pezet. Observer Jan Goodey   FINANCE REPORT   Martin as treasurer had already circulated the accounts covering years 2019 to 2023. Our current surplus stands at £369.56p. In the financial year 2022/23 we had expenditure of £180.78 which included the affiliation fee of £85 to Cycling UK, £28.78 for our domain name and a payment of £67 to fund the Christmas Social Event. We remain in a healthy financial position at present but recognised that at some future point we may need to ask members for voluntary payments to meet our annual commitments.   MEMBERSHIP UPDATE   Anne reported that we have had 21 new members ( 17 both road and MTB, 2 road only and 2 MTB only  ) but to her knowledge only about one third of the new road riders had been on any of our ...

Steve hands over to Anne as Chair of KDCS

  TO ALL MEMBERS Many of you will know that after many years of being Chair of KDCS I have passed the baton on to Anne Brookes. I would like to thank all of you for both your personal support, and for keeping our cycle club active for the past 30 years. The time is now right for a fresh pair of hands to take over the role and I would like to thank Anne for volunteering for the task. I’m sure Anne will bring her considerable professional skills and her cycling knowledge and  experience to the post and I know you will support her in taking our club forward.   Thank you once again and I look forward to seeing many of you on future rides.
